Happy new week guys💃🏽
I’m particularly excited because another episode of the America television series “Game of Thrones” would be out in a couple of hours. A big shout out to all GOT fans out there, I was recently initiated into the GOT fan room this year by some of my friends who simply didn’t understand why I didn’t watch the TV series.
But apart from the beautiful scripts, plot and twists in this American Television Series, I’m usually excited about the location in each season, the outfit and the hairstyles. As regards the outfits, Daenerys always has something beautiful going on as far as I’m concerned.
I wondered for a while if these locations were actually real and alas! Quite a number of these places exist in the real world. This post reveals some of my favourite locations in the series, GOT. As you all know(at least from my IG) I’m a dire hard lover of traveling and I’m always excited to share places and how to get affordable tickets to your preferred location. I’m excited to let you know Travelstart Nigeria is here for you all the way.
My top locations in GOT
Dorne – Alcázar of Seville, Spain: This palace appeared first in Season 5, the royal Martell family and it housed Cersei Lannister’s daughter, Marcella. I couldn’t stop gushing about this beautiful palace and of course it kept distracting me. The Dorne is located in Spain, Alcazar of Seville and it is the oldest royal palace still in use in Europe. The royal family still uses the uppers of the palace. UNESCO declared it as a World Heritage in the 18th century.
Winterfell- Castle Ward, Ireland: The house of the Stark Family, Winterfell. The castle has been on the screen since the very beginning of the show. It is located in Northern Ireland, near the village of Strangfold, in County Down, the property was built in the 18th century and is open to the general public.
King’s Landing Palace Gardens: I can perfectly see Sansa and The Little finger walking through the garden s right now. King’s Landing is located in Trsteno, Croatia.
King’s Landing – Old Town, Dubrovnik, Croatia: Apparently the fact that GOT was filmed in Dubrovnik has helped boost tourism. Visitors can recreate Cersei’s walk of shame down the steps in front of the churches of St. Ignatius of Loyola or meander through the Pile Gate, whichever stands in for the entrance to King’s Landing’s Old Town.
Braavos – Sibenik, Croatia: This is the city that supposedly housed the “The House of Black and White” which is a fantasy but this is the place where Arya Stark explored.
Yunkai – Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco: Remember when Daenerys freed this city with the help of the Unsullied? This beauty actually exists in the heart of Morocco. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site, it’s a 17th century city’s which sits between Marrakech and the Sahara.
Which of these places would you love to visit if given a free ticket? Please share in the comment section. Mine would definitely be the Palace of Dorne.
